April 2014 Lunar Eclipse

My two results from the eclipse last week. I already posted these on other social media, might as well get them up here. :)

A composite of two shots of the same phase. First shot was exposed for the red side, and second shot exposed for the "blue" side. Then combined both in post-processing. 

And a composite of my favorite shots of the phases I captured. I didn't stay all night for the entire show, I just stayed until we had the full blood moon, then packed up and went home for some sleep.

Logan - Experimentation with Editing {Springville Utah Child Photographer}

This is something I did a couple months ago. For those who have seen Elena Shumilova's work, hopefully you'll see a resemblance here. :) When I first saw her photos, I was smitten. I had to try. And though I didn't own the glass (at the time) to imitate her work, I did what I could in-camera and with Photoshop. I am happy with what I came up with, though I'd like to try again, now that I have the lens to more easily achieve similar results!

Note: Each of these photos represents about three hours of processing time. I am happy to add these effects to any client photos that are shot in a similar situation. Contact me for pricing if you are interested!

Hobble Creek River Trail {Utah Photographer}

Moon Halo {Utah Photographer}

Such a gorgeous moon the other night! My sis called me and *needed* photos of it with the halo it cast on the clouds. I could definitely use some nicer equipment (i.e. longer lens) for better photos, but I'm still pretty happy with how they turned out!
